Brian, This is what the genuine Elu one looks like The metal knurled piece fits on with a screw, then the grey plastic part slides onto that. I can do some more photos if it would help. No, you can't have mine ;D Cheers Paul PS Elu became DeWalt so might be worth trying them

Thanks Paul, I didn't realise it was arranged that way. They are in the good but old category now and the other models all seem very different. I might have to cast something from epoxy.

Hello Paul Eugen LUtz still makes makes Elumatec in germany, power tools hived off to B&D. Bean counters moved production to switzerland . italy slovenia etc. Perles sell planer and belt sander The hose connector is part #e35063 , try mtmc The closest I've found to a universal hose is the 27mm system from Alto-Wap, This came on my Elu and Festo vacs which fit every tool except the odd bosch, makita and holzher spout, for which a stepped adapter is available from karcher/dewalt or Bosch/starmix The numatic hoses are clumsy in comparison to the european designs. Most vacuums are "bought in" and follow similar German industry standards Good luck - Matt

Here are a couple more snaps, Brian. The metal piece fits with a small machine screw Then, here's the plastic bit that slides on Most of my power tools are Elu and I've always found their dust extraction quite good. Once you have the necessary adaptors, the one rubber hose end fits all of them. The hose end looks like this The red tape was from B&Q ;D Cheers Paul PS Hi Shrubby, welcome to the forum. That's helpful information

Cheers Paul, I think I could make an adapter by cutting the exit profile into the end of a plastic "stop end" and then retaining that with a set screw. There seems to be a 30mm standard on my Bosch sanders and makita biscuit jointer but the rest are proprietry. What a pain Brian

Hello Paul The hose connector is part #e35063 , try mtmc I tried mtmc but the hose connector does not seem to be shown on the parts explosion for the MH65. Have I missed something? Brian

Here are a couple more snaps, Brian. The metal piece fits with a small machine screw Amazing we both still appear to be on the original blade. I must have had my saw 15 years +. I have just had it sharpened after trimming a roofs worth of joise ends and it is like new!

I have just had it sharpened after trimming a roofs worth of joise ends and it is like new! Yes, that blade they supplied with it seems good. Mine must be at least that age as well. I have a Crowley tripple chip blade for finer work but I don't use the saw all that much these days. I always found Elu tools first rate. I have the small router, orbital sander, jigsaw and biscuit jointer as well and they've never given any trouble. The build quality and design is first class. I'll be quite sad when they eventually bite the dust Cheers Paul
