Are these two worth looking at? Available from Hereor the Axminster badged Or maybe I should downsize to one of these Jets which ends up similar in price as the bigger jobs by the time you bought all the bits and pieces Jet 16-32 Plus Drum Sander

I've used the XCalibur and they do a reasonable job, albeit somewhat slowly. At least they are wide enough that you don't have to worry about witness marks (which the smaller jobbies will give you). None of these machines is in the same league as even a basic wide belt sander, but for a small shop they are useful timesavers. One thing they do need, though, is a decent dust extractor with fine filtration
