good idea to get one or other of the cleaning sprays.

i use the cmt one and it is the dogs

other thing to look out for is to go to a pound shop and get some of the cheap and nasty wire brushes. they often do a steel one, and a rubber one plus a brass one in the same pack. very useful, and you don't mind mucking them up. ;D

the trend kit is one of their better ones

I use a set of plastic test tube cleaner brushes which are kinder on the metal

I find the biggest problem isn't dust, but resins, especially from MDF and pitch pine. WD40 often won't shift this, so it's better to resort to a non-corrosive blade cleaner such as CMT 2050 before using the brush. My small brass brush set came from Onsrud, but it wasn't cheap.
