Can anyone confirm that the deWalt DC616 16 gauge nailer can be used with Paslode 16 gauge nails (as supplied for the IM65 16 gauge straight magazine nailer)?

I've purchased the angled version this morning along with Paslode nails. Dewalt UK confirmed that Paslode nails are compatible with their range of guns.

Note to Paslode salesman - now would be a good time for a sales trip to John o'Groats......... ;D Thanks for your responses. I need to be able to use Paslode nails as they are what I'm being supplied with by the main contractor on a job I've won. The prob;em is that I have a love-hate relationship with Passys, but it's mostly hate...... Scrit

I think they're crap. They stink to high heaven, the gas gives me a headache (and isn't it environmentally somewhat unsound?), and it can leak, and you can end up with out of date gas which won't ignite, the reliability is compromised by poor battery contacts (they oxidise too readily for my liking) and they can be extremely fussy about nails. Put simply it annoys the hell out of me to be up on a scaffolding tower or wherever and have one "die" on me - which has happened far too often for my liking. I find pneumatics far more reliable. The only plus point in the Passy is that it is truly portable........ But then so is the deWalt cordless
