Excellent purchase.
I'd be lost without my 352. Excellent bit of kit that does what it says on the tin. Nice simple rubbing blocks for the blade guides.
The only advice I would give is to get some decent blades. I use Dure-Edge and they seem to cut cleanly, straight and true.

ok - so not as good as I hoped I guess I was lucky with the AGS ! it will need some TLC as it has been neglected. The motor struggles to get going (maybe the cap ? ) the blade was blunt and triped the overload trying to resaw some 5" oak. the NVR doesn't work - as I reset the trip (yellow box in photo) the motor started back up the yellow box looks like it has been added ? as does the NVR ? the foot brake doesn't disconnect the power - but it looks like it should (there is a micro switch attached to it. I will have to see if I can get a service manual for it and put it back how it once was ! some pics ...

Thanks Argus - you have PM and one thing I left out - the PO had dissabled the safety switch so you can now start the saw up with the door open

I'm paying 370 for it. will post some condition pics after I collect it later Of course, you could have bought a new 352SB and it would only have cost you £1999-00 plus VAT ;D Certainly a blunt blade would cause problems - the one fitted to my machine when I got it tended to burn its way through wood rather than cut it ... Also remember it has two speeds which will affect how well it cuts. My machine is an old (certainly older than yours) version that spent its life in a school (if fact that is how they are currently marketed). I have spent some time cleaning the table and one of these days need to completely strip it and clean everything properly - but I'm always using it and it works pretty well as it is. I'm sure that once you've spent a bit of time cleaning yours up and connecting up the 'bypassed' bits and put a decent blade on it you'll be happy with it. I initially felt a bit disappointed about mine (which I also bought at the same time as my Wadkin table saw) but would now not want to part with it. Misterfish

Are they as much as that nowadays? I think that I paid about £1000 for mine new, about 15 years ago and I'll echo what you said about use. It's been reliable and done a lot of work over the years. I find that the nut and bolt securing the table levelling has a tendency to creep out of true very occasionally, but I remember to check it with a square regularly and other than that it's a great machine for what it does and relatively straightforward to service and put right. .
