Do bandsaw blades get sharpened or binned ?

You could try Meat & Fish type blades from Sharpquips. 0.02" thick 1/2" 4TPI - excellant for detailed work (Tenons, D/T's etc) £9.90 for your 352.

thats what I thought ..... but .,... even those ones Scrit was on about ... £130 a pop The blades Scrit was on about are TCT so they do last a very long time so you get your monies worth without needing them sharpened. The other thing to remember is that on a decent sized blade the number of teeth means its not very economical to get them sharpened considering the relatively low cost of a standard blade. My B/S for example takes a 131" blade. At 3TPI thats 393 teeth! Considering the cost of a 3/4" blade from Dragon Saw was only £16.63 the last time I ordered (nearly £3 cheaper than Axminsters crap) it isn't worth the hassle of getting them sharpened so i just coil them up and chuck them when they aren't cutting as well as I want.
