Jason sorry to hear about your loss.
When I lived in Manchester I had an alarm inside the workshop that was so loud you couldn't stand in there when it was going off without vomitting. Perhaps you could fit the same sort of thing?

Thats bad news dude - hope you have good insurance that can pay out quickly. Wont stop the fact you were robbed - thats crap ! , but shopping for tools is a good thing, might take a slight edge off it Rich

Sorry to hear that Jason.
If you claim on the house insurance "Don't tell them they were tools of your trade" ...... they won't pay up.
Maybe time for a steel box bolted to the floor.

Sorry to hear about the break in Jason. As others have said, I hope that you get things sorted quickly. If you go for the metal doors, how about wiring them up to the mains in the evening Steve

Don't suppose the rozzers are that interested either. Keith's suggestion sounds (no pun intended) interesting.

Thanks everyone and thanks for the offers to loan me some tools . Your a good bunch really no matter what the others say ;D I did have four alarms in the workshop , three battery ones and one mains supply so it was pretty loud in there but with the house a fair way from the workshop no one heard them . I also had cctv rigged up but the camera was broken Still i have a whole new alarm and cctv system now so the tenth person to steel my tools is going to get a nasty suprise
