Right, moving a little furhter on with setting up our company. Another grey area is the spray finishing of product, and we would like to pencil in a spraybooth onto the floorplan. Taking in mind that we only have 216 sq M's here, what equipment should i be looking for. I don;'t want the hassle of cleaning a waterwash type, just the dryfilter papers.
Where can you obtain these secondhand or even new?

HI Lynx, I use these filters in my spray booth and I think it's great. I'm planning to rebuild my booth soon, but the setup I used up until recently was simply an airtight frame to support the filters that was connected to my dust extractor using 6" hose. I drop the outlet from the extractor from the dust filters to keep airflow up and rely on the large booth filters to do the rest. When I rebuild mine I'm tempted to seal it from the outside to keep issues with dust to a minimum.

Hi Lynx don't know if you have room outside but we set up a spray booth inside a container( the type you get on lorries) Once we'd insulated it , it works a treat.

i once did some work for a company doing spray coating, and they used the containers for both spraying, and then as the oven to bake on the coating. dom is right, and a 10, or 20 foot box can be bought quite cheaply, and is much easier to adapt, and being outside, will not be too expensive to control. one assumes you have some car parking spaces, in which case you would end up with an additional 13-15sq metres which could also be used for storage when not spraying, since you will not be spraying every day. being outside also you could reduce the need for various overspray protectors inside the workshop. paul

So far, I can tell, we won't be able to spray outside (a container) as it's within a busy industrial estate. We are hoping to use the Apollo 700 set-up to start with, along with WB products. I know this is not going to be the case for all applications so we will look at set-ups for a/c.
