Hi all.
Just a quick one. What, in your opinion is the best and most economic way to seal my concrete workshop floor? At the moment it is very dusty.
The floor space is 3M X 10M.

unless your only sealing prior to fitting chipboard/plywood flooring, if so then just a weak pva/water mix

Thanks lynx. The paint sounds good. Perhaps one day I will be able to afford an insulated wood floor. Until then rubber matting will have to suffice. Just one more thing, (a last minute thought). Could I just put 8 X 4 sheet of ply directly onto the concrete floor, or would I have to put down a DPM of some description, or would I have to lay battens down first? Thanks again.

Depends....
I layed a dpm over the concrete floor in my garage, then 2" expanded polystyrene over it. I floated a chipboard floor on top of that and painted it with garage floor paint (Ronseal, IIRC). I did that 3 years ago and it's a huge improvement - comfy and much warmer to stand on, and easier to keep clean to boot.
However, I'm not trade and have no heavy cast iron machinery - I don't know if anyone else has done this in a more 'heavy duty' environment.
