I didnt find it that bad , but then i have only used it in anger on painted work where the glue and a quick swipe of filler will hide all sins . I can imagine on solid timber it could be a pain .

I bought it as a quick way to make solid timber drawer boxes but after a few hours of trial and error i gave up and dovetailed instead.
PS I think your avatar is obscene its not even december yet.

I bought my mitre lock cutter on the back of you building that unit! There are some pretty good guides for setting up the mitre lock cutter on the router table, I'll have a dig and see what I can find in my bookmarks. Cheers Stu heres one from the other side

Looks like he has it off set there by a mm . Not a bad idea as the edges to get very sharp and easy to damage . No good for pre made veneered work though .

Also helps when running it through the router so keep a square edge to run against the outfeed fence/table
