Can't make any useful comment about biscuits - too long since I used them. An artist's palette knife makes a good glue applicator for dovetails though. Almost on topic... Cheers, Alf

actually i thought the only point of buying christmas gifts of biscuits was to get an oval tin in which to keep your wooden biscuits ;D paul

I had the Ax bottle set too, IMHO the one with the biscuit top is actually less good (quick accurate glue spread) than the one intended for dowel holes. If you use a lot of biscuits in one job, you may find a 'squeeze the bottle' dispenser is too slow and thus assembly difficult. I got a Lamello Dosicol (?) thrown in with a jointer at a show, which is set to always put out just the right amount with a quick push, and so very quick.
