Could anyone recommend a smock to buy as a present? Are velcro cuffs good or elasticated cuffs? This website seems to do a few different ones: www.creative-woodturning.com/productslove.htmAll velcro cuffs though, but the colour selection seems good (present is for a lady - they seem to care about colour more than me) I can't decide between denim and natural cotton here (no idea what colour light oatmeal is or what texture the smock will be - like sack cloth? I hope not) thank you

Hi James Welcome If I have it right I have the same smock in natural with the Velcro cuffs and I am very happy with it, as I no longer have shaving down my top when turning ;D. I would say get the velcro one, that way you know it will fit and can be adjusted

BTW don't be deceived by "natural light oatmeal" this is "beige" by another name. The most unfashionable colour in the universe and only worn by OAPs with altzheimers.
cheers Jacob

A, don't forget trouser material is very important as well as colour. I've been told moleskin in beige is this years must have. ;D I must get out more and stop listening to Wogan

Another trick of the trade of course is the sawdust all over the floor one. It helps conceal incontinence. Have shell suits gone out then? Nobody told me cheers Jacob
