I would like to source some high quality stainless door furniture - any thoughts? As my avatar suggests I am looking for modernist stuff.

Oh (and I'm not sure why I'm bothering seeing as you posting elsewhere but ignoring the responses to your question) I called Carl F today, as I'm using the Henning Larsen or Onen handles on our extension, and they pointed me to homebits.co.uk, which was pretty rubbish for my query, but carry a few nice looking bits and pieces.

I'm not ignoring your reply I'm still trying to solve the problem!

I couldn't find the handle you suggested (Onen) but really appreciated the other websites which were new to me. the Karcher stuff is simply stunning.

On a completely different level I have some very nice simple right angles SS tubular handles on a plain round rosette from, of all places, Aldi

. |The good news is that they were only a fiver each (pair) and are identical to some of the more rarified items available elsewhere.

I also wanted satin stainless hinges etc and ordered them from Hafele only to find out this morning they are out of stock. (Not cheap are they at Hafele!) They want £200 each for some top hung sliding door gear for a 1500mm wardrobe.

So now I need the stuff from Hafele and some thumb lock rosettees to match the Aldi handles.

Are we friends now???

Ahh, of course we are.

The Carl F stuff is here: www.carlf.dk/tekstsider/3produkter/designer/ONENgr.html - there are other handles under "designer & dorgreb" in the products menu. I doubt they will match Aldi prices, though! In fact, they don't meet the criteria, as I think they are mostly nickel plated brass rather than SS.

Hinges should be easy enough to find, try Ironmongery Direct, or froma quick google, these guys: www.simplydoorhandles.co.uk/products/door_hinges/index.asp.

Even so a good buy a the price and not a bad design.
