LN, I think you might have been taken in by the sales promoter. Your hammer and spokeshave are the very early models - the new ones like Norm's are now fitted with laser guides ;D
Cheers ;D Tony

Sorry your Lordship, but as Tony said yours is an early model, the trade are already using the latest ones, which are not yet available to the general public. But I'd be intersested in the spokeshave, where'd you get it.

No, the RF guide alerts the mercurial counterbalance within the handle, so should you be off centre it activates the gyro and self aligns.

Sorry your Lordship, but as Tony said yours is an early model, the trade are already using the latest ones. But I'd be interested in the spokeshave, where'd you get it. Mine is the MK III, the laser MK II turned out to be a flop on two counts. First problem the laser blinded people when the hammer claw was used to remove bent nails, so the H&S executive banned further sales of them. Secondly some people didn't read the instructions properly and used the laser face to bang the nails with, this caused a short circuit thus electrocuting the user. The problem stated by the H&S Executive wasn't the fact that the user usually ended up dead from miss use, but they didn't like the complaints from neighbours about electricity blackouts stopping them from watching Coronation Street & Eastenders. PS.... Re: The Veritas Electric Spokeshave. Ring any good American tool suppliers, LV and Rocklers being two of the best. Ask to be put through to Mr Turkey, he's the one who usually answers the phone..... so just say "Are you the Turkey who sells electric spokeshaves?" ;D ;D

Corded tools are all very well, but when are we going to see the 18 volt Li-Ion cordless ones?
