Not much but tumbleweed, so thought I'd add a note.
Recieived three detail rasps from Gaignard Millon yesterday. First impression is that form and function seem to be on par with Auriou.
Will give them a proper side by side test this weekend.
Also got an amusing double tanged rasp (no - that'd be silly - a tang at each end - think prickly drawknife)
Cheers Steve

C'est magnifique - mais ou est les images? I assume this is the double tanged one? As ever my French, or lack of, lets me down. Cheers, Alf

Yep, really nice people to deal with, too - didn't even snigger at my shocking quadragenarian schoolboy French.
The double tanged is indeed the lateral rasp (flat both faces, safe edges.)
The other three are a 'frayed' rasp (Râpe éffilée), an 'armchair' rasp (Râpe fauteuil) and a 'sage leaf' rasp (Râpe feuille de sauge.) Which three styles are equivalent to standard and modeller's Aurious (one flat side) and another with a different radius on each face. (I'll have to work out which is which)
Will try and do pics and guage Auriou grade equivalents at the weekend.

I like the idea of an armchair rasp, seeing as how most of my woodworking is of an armchair nature at the mo'... Cheers, Alf

Why's that Alf? Poorly or just too damn cold? (or caul, as we say in these here parts).

Yum
Can confirm that these are of the same lineage/pedigree/caliber. Rate of cut and finish are the equal of Aurious (least wise, I can't tell the difference.)
Scratching around, I came up with these equivalencies for the Gaignard Millon rasps I have:
150mm Râpe fauteuil Roughly the shape of an Auriou cabinet makers rasp The closest equivalent I have is a 175mm grain 13 taper rasp. I'd say the tooth pattern is slightly tighter on the flat face of the Auriou - so maybe the GM is closer to a 12?
150mm Râpe éffilée OK, this is an almost exact match for an Auriou 150mm grain 15 taper. Again, perhaps just adjust the grain by 1 - more like a 14 (but I don't one to compare it to)
125mm Râpe feuille de sauge This is by far the finest grained rasp I have - the above Auriou 150mm grain 15 taper is the closest.
Now, if only I could find my tape, my camera might be next to it...

Dreaded lurgy bad. Found camera. Woohoo! Buggered. Damn! So, webcam + monster thread counter + spectacles - nearly gives a pic of the cabinet rasp's teeth: (from right to left: 150mm Râpe fauteuil Auriou 175mm grain 13 taper 150mm Râpe éffilée Auriou 150mm grain 15 taper) O - forgot about the lateral rasp. Hmmm, weird thing. Need to practice with it more to get the proper angle of attack - cutting with the grain ain't really a very raspy thing to do. I'd gauge it about a grain 11ish.

Excellent, Steve - thank you. Possibly just as well my French won't be up to the task of ordering any. Cheers, Alf

One of the fellows in the shop is reputed to speak English. Or of course, I'd be happy to forward the pigeon French that worked for me. The sage leaf rasp is an absolute delight. (Why should I be the only addict ) Steve
