Spent a very pleasant couple of hours with Paul ( Chapman) today, he popped into my workshop. He'd brought a bag with some toys, sorry tools, so I got mine out, tools, and we put them together and they were all sparkly and shiny and stuff. We both agreed that gloating wouldn't be nice, but I lied ;D

ok paul, can you let us into the secret, does dom actually know how to use any of them? Yes, indeed. In fact, I was given a fascinating insight into how the Gentleman Woodworker operates. In the corner was Hudson honing blades to perfection and re-assembling the planes, which he would then hand to the Master to take one or two gossamer-thin shavings. He would then stop for refreshment (prepared by Hudson, of course) before continuing the process again. Fascinating, most fascinating........... Cheers Paul

Now that's the way to do woodworking. But I think you need to work on your glamour shots, chaps. Some people would have photo-shopped that into the entire LN catalogue for better effect. ;D Cheers, Alf
