The thing is that isn't entirely stupid - how many times have you found yourself needing three hands when clamping something? Okay, so you'd probably need to use a real clamp if you wanted it to hold - but this might hold it long enough. Of course it could well be a tacky bit of plastic manure too. ;D
Cheers, Alf

I dunno, I'm not a big fan of 'lectrickery for tools that frankly don't need it. The simple quick-clamp type grips can be operated by the one hand you've got free, while the other two are busy holding everything else in place After buying a Plasplugs sharpening station many years ago, thinking I was buying a pukka tool to sharpen my chisels with (I learnt very quickly that it wasn't up to my aspirations), I just hate all the excuses for tools that these big names bring out in order to part us from our cash. If only they could concentrate on making stuff properly, even charging £2 more for it, rather than piling the crap up and asking us to form an orderly queue at the bargain bins. Hmm, seems I'm ranting - </rant> I think you can assume I'm not keen your Lordship, certainly not good enough to grace your country manor sir ;D Cheers, Lee - off for a warm bath with lots of Radox to relax me

I think you can assume I'm not keen your Lordship, certainly not good enough to grace your country manor sir ;D Cheers, Your not keen, I think it's a load of dog poo, It takes over five minutes to close from fully open to fully closed from what I've read. My bloody arms would drop off if I had to hold it in place that long, by which time to glue would have gone off anyway ;D

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I reckon Record G cramps, sash cramps and cramp heads are still the best - nothing to go wrong, they last forever and they do the job. Cheers Paul

Okay, okay! I wouldn't actually buy one - but if some well-meaning but mis-guided relative (you know the sort - bet you've all got at least one) inflicted one on me, you never know, there's an outside chance it might actually be useful for something. Sometime. Once.
Oh all right, I'll stop being reasonable now. ;D
Cheers, Alf
