I bought 8 last week, unfortunately they hade been polished which has un trued the base of them, but nothing I can't handle with the tormek Marples shamrock brand bevelled edge As for the Kangaroo' you must be looking at them upside down. ;D

I was close to buying a copy lathe the other day but it was a big machine so thought better of it . EBay is dangerous when your bored !

I have been on a buying spree of chisels too! I was thinking about Japanese chisels, then I realised that our craftsmen in the past produced some fine work and they didn't have Japanese chisels. Not as far as I know at least! I already have some Marples, 1950's chisels and I managed to find more vintage Marples. The steel in these is much better than today's stuff. I am now determined to get some long, paring chisels! Long live Marples! ;D John
