Morning,
I have an old ELU bandsaw 3401A1 (which the DeWalt DW738 is built after). The tyres (AKA tires or rubbers) are worn out and need replacement. Any idea where I can find some (I know Rutlands are selling something, but I am not sure about its quality and whether it would fit).
Thanks,
Eyal

Hi eg
You don't say where you are but what you need is the sort of firm who can recover and vulcanise printing press rollers. Up here in the North West there used to be a firm called Redfern's who were famous for this sort of thing (that and they're about the last place left making steam hoses for the likes of the late Fred Dibnah). Sadly, they no longer offer this service and until I need som more wheels myself I'm at a loss to advise you other than to say look in Yellow Pages for rubber manufacturers. I'm sure I could find someone locally, but there's nobody I can recommend from personal experience I'm afraid
Hopefully Keith Smith will ride in to the rescue and tell you where he got his wheels recovered as he had a similar problem a while back and it was he who told me that Redfern's were no longer in the market
