I need to cut some ogee for a large skirting board i have been asked to make but part of the cutter will need to go above the timber , stopping me using the power feed . My question is , is it common practice to remove the center wheel on the power feed to get over this or do i go back to using the shaw gaurd and hold down ?

Jason You should be able to swivel the feed head around so it works horizontally - holding the workpiece onto the fence instead of pressing down on to the table. You tilt it slightly towards the outfeed side so it has a downwards component keeping the work on the table and you might need rollers or something to support the ends.

and do your cutting list first - then you can reduce most of it to easy handleable sizes. Glad to see you are getting in to spindlemoulding. As I've said often - it's a brilliant machine.

Think I might add the ole DW625 to the bonfire on November 5th ;D Don't do that. I'm sure I can give it a good home and a peaceful retirement amongst friends up here in the rolling Pennines..... ;D

and you have to reverse the direction - you've probably been wondering why this was possible (assuming it is on your kit, it's normal)

It still worries the crap out of me, even after all these years. I probably spend more time checking everythings locked and set up right than I do running it. Mind you it only takes a lump of flying Oak to make you think
