Now and again we come across the one job you hate doing but has to be done to compleate the project , what's yours ? I HATE glazing bars

finishing a job i started months ago, and forgot about especially when you can't remember all that you did, but it now looks not quite right, but you don't want to do it all again got a set of cupboard doors like that mind you if i did that many doors and windows i'd get bored by glazing bars. paul

lord nibbo , hang your head in shame . this is where most of your money can be earnt . try this next time , mark out your hinges with a stanley knife SANDING is my pet hate [so, 4 then]

hinges are easy, yes the position is 6 down 9 up
but
having done this measure both positions from the top of the door then transfer to the frame / lining
and as mel says use a stanley

But I still hate doing them, to me it's just a total bore.... to make matters worse swmbo wants all new panel doors fitted throughout the house 11 in total 10 being the hollow cheap type as from all the sheds and only one hardwood with glass bullseyes fitted. So if all of you love hanging doors so much who would like a day or two in the west country? ;D
