thanks Andy, just wanted to know if it,s worth the money, do you use it much? would a learner like me be able to use it without tuition?. Anyway at that sort of price I,ll have to wait until next year before I can convince SWIMBO to let go of the purse strings. Happy xmas, Rich.

hi Rich "is it worth the money" only you can answer that I'm afraid but I have no regrets "do I use it a lot" no but.... I have not had the time I bought it to start making furniture and didn't want a lathe just not got round to starting any yet "would a learner......." the supplied DVDs are excellent you would have no problems. Must be easy if Jason and me can do it ;D What are you looking to do with it assuming you can convince your better half

Hi Chas, forgot to log in, thanks for the reply, I,ll give Roger a call after xmas when things are a little calmer, I,m a hobbyist but am a firm believer in letting the tools do the work, why sweat, those days are over, once again thanks, happy xmas, Rich.
PS. As I live in Reading it seems most sensible to pop down to Sonning Common and see for myself.

Hi Andy, at present I have an Arundel lathe and a t/s cum router table (modified but useable) and already my newly built workshop is crowded and I was thinking if I could combine the two in one machine it would give me more room, as to what I want to make, well, I,ve got 11 years to think about that, Cheers, Rich.

;D wrong forum ! ;D Is it easy to use .... YES When i bought mine i had ago at Larry Tippet bookcase detail because the claim was that you to can do this . Well i took some crap timber to try it out and i did it I also managed to make a hollow spiral with it The only turning i had done before this was on a crappy old drill lathe and some metal work at school . Im not sure what features the revo has but on the 900 you can also do mortice and tenons (small ones ) run off mouldings as in a router table and also have a circle turning bed for table tops etc .

Nice to see that Jason makes camouflaged tables!
In answer to Rich's question is it easy to use a REVO. The answer is yes, I assume Royal Mail will deliver the DVD I sent to you this week if your surname begins with K and you live in Reading.
At present we are planning to show the REVO at the Alexandra Palace Wood Working Show - February 8 - 9 - 10 and Andy Anderson the President of Legacy will be over for the show. We also intend taking it to the Midlands, the North West around Chester and probably Leeds on the other side of the Pennie's.
Anyone wanting the DVD please either email your address details or give me a call on 01491 629 699. The DVD shows how to make the hollow barley twist that Jason showed above plus it covers all the machines in the range.

Well JFC's someone else would not be me as he doesn't know me, but I've got one too. I've had it about a year, but I've been working away from home all year and have had limited time in the workshop and have not had much chance to use it (or do much woodwork at all - roll on retirement )soI cant really comment on it use in practice. Intriguingly enough I there was a message on my answering machine this very evening from the wooden42 chappie wondering if I would be interested in a CNC version. I cant visualize how this would work on the legacy so I'll get some more info.
And just an aside, most of what I have been up to is creating a few cabinets for the workshop, and oh how I love my domino. This little gem gets my highest recommendation and is a tool I just would not want to be without. (OK just a recommendation from an occational wood dabbler, its not a day job)

That'll be me then. Had it a year, only used it in anger twice, gets in the way the rest of the time. Methinks it might be time to get a proper lathe, learn how to use it and free up some space, capital, and get a bit of ear-rest from the tailed routers.
