Almost sharp is better for me , scary sharp is a waste of time for what i do . Maybe some sharp for the hogging out and then scary sharp for finishing but i aint got time for all that b*ll*x ;D
P.S the turkey had a nice life before they killed it and i cooked it .

guess what i tried it out tonight, and found it very useful for flattening the backs of the blades on my plough plane. interesting so for the moment, not on the market. messy bloody thing though, the water just exits to the floor or your bench. their answer a piece of clear plastic tube so when i have worked out how to make that better might use it more, then of course will have to get the stone grader still saved a bunch of time on those plough blades, will try it on a grown up plane blade tomorrow. paul
