I have a Scheppach HMS260 which is now surplus to requirements.
It is about 6 years old so it has the older style steel tables. It has had relatively little use as I have had a separate thicknesser for most of the time.
I have modified it slightly in that I have cut down the projecting arm of the guard by a couple of inches, which means that when planing narrow stock the whole of the blade can not be used (this would only affect the amount you could distribute the wear if doing a massive amount of edge planing for instance; it does not effect in any way the planing capacity of the machine). The reason I reduced the size was so that the planer would fit flush against a wall, so saving space.
It is in really nice condition and these machines seem to go for over £300 on eBay so if anyone is interested at £250 (collected from Shropshire) please PM me.
