well there we go jason, we have been telling you for ages your prices are too low, now you have an excuse for increasing them ;D but seriously, if other suppliers can charge fuel supplements, or payment fees, then why can't you charge for a new truck. over the next couple of years, you only need another ton a week to cover the new van ;D paul

read this, heads out of the sand time for ANYONE with a standard transit or bigger Standard Transit? By that do you mean the small 1-tonne jobbie? Have I got this wronmg, but doesn't this apply to vehicles larger than a 3.5tonne GVW vehicle (i.e. larger than a "35 cwt" Transit, the largest Tranny-type vehicle normally seen)? Scrit

it does say larger vans exceeding 1.25 tonnes which is certainly some of the trannie/renault major/merc/vw types. paul

In that case I wonder how drivers of many 4 x 4s are going to get on - the Land-Rover Discovery weighs in at around 2.5 tonnes doesn't it? And I believe it has a drawbar capacity (trailer) of around 2.5 tonnes as well

the empty kerbside weight of a standard bt transit brings it into the LEZ
yes scrit at this moment in time its everything DOWN to 3.5 tonnes
but the LEZ is going to get tougher and tougher until 2012, which is why my van (ex bt transit) will be liable in feb 2010

Then now's the time to go green (?): I've heard they do van versions of these ;D or perhaps you'd like to buy European with a Vespa: as imported by Reliant........ who, of course made their own tradesmen's vans at one time: I believe that JFC already has a way round it having recently purchased this vehicle from another renowned London business: Red Ken will love you! i not so sure i want ken's love
the point is even if you live up north and have a single delivery or collection to make inside the M25 you will be liable, if your van doesnt comply

now you are being logical again. this is red ken's london where nothing makes sense ;D paul Oh man, this has all the halmark's of yet another marxist scam theft. Red ken chavez wants to be seen to be tough on the (stereotypical) evil motorists to appease the party members who ride bikes and despise everyone else who doesnt . They found a viable (and fashionably current) way to turn enviro-fear into yet another taxable commodity. As the man said, no price's quoted, but they emphasise the penalty fines, the enforcement by yet more bloody camera's, warnings "do not ignore a penalty". What will this do except 1/ Line red ken chavez's pockets with more cash for yet more barmy marxist social theory/engineering proiject's. 2/ Place yet more tax burdens on already stressed small and medium business's 3/ create an army of yet more PC indoctrinated jobsworth beauracrat's to run the show 4/ Create yet more general ill will among the vast majority at the expense of appeasing a minority bunch of crank's who are out of touch with reality? I shouldnt really joke about chavez, man, I met someone in England whose uncle was murdered, shot openly in the street, with impunity, simply because he didnt agree with king chavez's decree's and revolutionary aims (ie the man wants to be a tyrant, get in his way, your a dissident and your history)

Personally I'm all for it (whatver it is ;D ;D) if it means better roads, environment, safety, slower speeds etc etc. Just been down the smoke and it's a lot better since the zone charging system. It's become not worthwhile to drive there any more so it meant train (1st sight of new St Pancras), tube etc. Basically a lot faster, quicker and easier. Wish we'd taken our bikes too ;D ;D There's a simple answer to those who don't like it - don't go there, or move away. Property is dead cheap in Hartlepool frinstance, and it's near the sea. ;D Or Middlesborough etc cheers Jacob PS Hope Mr Spanton is OK he seems to be whipping himself into a non PC frenzy

Hi Jacob ;D Your right of course, as you might of guessed these things irtate me to no end. Half the time I'm serious, but also having a laugh (and seeing what the mod's will censor or not ) Black humour ;D Its all very well thinking Oh thats all just confined to london (at the moment) BUT these crazy marxist inspired idea's have a way of getting copied by other nut case's in other places, and we know where ken "chavez" livingstone gets his ideas from . Who knows one day the entire peak district might be a LEZ When CSO's first apeared they were like a novelty joke (still are) BUT there role will change, they will get powerfuller and nastier as they are given a bigger role.

its begining to feel like it is local government that will drive the environmental thing.
the Govenment will not stand in the way of local government because they will not not get the political fallout
