Welcome to the April, 2008 issue of the Sawdust Making 101 Newsletter.
Spring is either here or just around the corner depending on what part of the country we are in so I imagine many of you will be working on projects for the garden. Do-It-101.com has a page on making row markers complete with a folder of images to download:
doit101.com/Gardening/rowmarkers.html
Green Thumb Garden Goodies has plans for a mini wishing well, another quick little project that features a planter base:

Showcasing people that obviously have too much time on their hands seems to have become a regular feature, this time it is Jamie Norwood, his vintage Delta scroll saw needed a stand so he made one:

You may know him as the "Rocker Fellow" from Texas:

Every so often I get emails inquiring how to cope baseboards, once you see it done it is really very simple:

David Esterly works in the tradition of Grinling Gibbons (1648-1721), whose spectacular cascades of flowers, fruits and foliage revolutionized ornamental sculpture during the age of Christopher Wren. His carving is nothing short of spectacular:

I have added a free downloadable .pdf image of a 13 X 19 Band Saw Safety Shop Poster on our band saw page, it features an original 1871 patent drawing as a background. You will need a wide format inkjet to print it that size, it may also be printed 8.5 X 11 on a regular printer.

Moved the Mission Style plans to a page of their own so I could add thumbnails to make browsing easier:
vintageinternetplans.com
Run out of ideas and want to browse through some plans, you will find hundreds of them that cost you nothing at Absolutely Free Plans:
absolutelyfreeplans.com
For other craft ideas visit Do-It-101.com, a do-it-yourself index to just about anything:
doit101.com
In closing I would like to remind you to work safely and remember:
"If it doesn't feel good, don't do it."
