Just saw a 110volt ex demo 625EK pop up on Ebay for £150:00 and while I was looking at it my fingers bought it. So no more wondering about which router to get...Hope I like it and wish I knew a bit more about them, like do they have a spindle lock? I suspect not. Electronic brake? I doubt it. At least my Elu 177 odds and ends will fit it... Looks like I will be Festool free for a while yet....

£150 for a 625 is good i think . Ex demo means it hasnt had the balls knocked out of it by a tradesman ;D

Far as I can tell its just been security tagged to a shelf at a tool outlet. Best price I could find for a recon was £185:00 so this seems the better option.. As for the unconscious tactile card processing skills, I will have to wear gloves when prowling Ebay....

Best ive had is £200 for just the router with no extras . Just to ease your mind i have knocked the sh*t out of mine in the router table and still trust it 100% . You cant go wrong with a 625 !

Mailee,
I am loathe to sell the Elu, but one of the three has to go. I would prefer the Dewalt to go and keep the Elu and the makita to be honest.....I mean when all is said and done its only a yellow Elu clone. Just that the Elu is only good for table work because its no soft start and will arm wrestle you across the room if you forget that. Good reviews on sawdust Alley re the Makita as well

I see what you mean Stree. I have to admit the soft start on the De Walt is a Godsend as it is on most of the quality routers now. I still like the Elu though as it was built to last and that is something of a rearity in todays world.
