"Ten oak fronted units plus a stainless steel multi-function fan-assisted oven, stainless steel hob, stainless steel chimney extractor, sink, tap, and worktop."
For £500? Only if they have the keys to MFI's back door....

Looks remarkably similar to the units fitted in our kitchen, which are a pile of s**te. Given the time and effort involved in fitting a kitchen, not to mention the disruption caused, it's not the sort of thing I want to do too often.
Personally I'd rather make do with what I have and save up for a good quality replacement than replace with something of poor quality that will soon need replacing again.

People like this make me sick , if you take someones money then deliver the goods , if you cant then you say sorry and give them a full refund . Its simple . It seems salesmen or con men have taken over our trade with buying in mass produced stuff and selling it on ... or not as the case may be . In fact its not just our trade it seems to be the new way to blag a living !

I have seen these kitchens in the flesh ordered of the internet by a customer i was making a staircase for. The quality of the carcases was shocking. Most of the appliances were either faulty or damaged, the sink almost bent in half and the oak worktops all cupped.

not sure that you need to worry, they said it was old stock, and most people here have a fair idea of what old mfi stock was like ;D i agree with jason, as the housing market dries up, there will be more and more people using whatever methods th ey can to con the public. all you can do is your best, and deliver on time and to budget, or keep your customer informed. paul

The name to look out for is Vance Miller (yes, he of Maple Kitchens fame). He has a bit of a reputation - just ring Oldham Trading Standards and you'll find out why he's so infamous
