When I was at the West Dean hand tool event, Deneb Puchalske of Lie Nielsen Toolworks gave a demonstration of using a toothed blade in a bench plane for fast stock removal without tear-out. These toothed blades are available for Lie Nielsen bevel up planes but there didn't appear to be any available for bevel down planes. Well, I've just found some Dick Tools in Germany do them www.dick-gmbh.de/DwEn/Kunz_Blades.htmMight give them a try....... Cheers Paul
