Hi folks,
Spindle Moulder Top Hat Reducing Bushes, are they legal & safe to use? Have been looking at second hand spindle tooling, and wondering if this is a way of increasing my options
Thanks In advance
Simon

They are fine . I use top hats top and bottom and a bush in the middle if i can . I also buy my tooling at 30mm bore and top hat it to my 1" spindle just incase i upgrade my spindle .

You buy what ever bush or top hats you need to reduce the block to your spindle size so yes .

Hmmm i've not come across 35mm before so i cant say . Maybe someone else will know but if it's a standard size then i would think they would do reducers for it .

Top hat bushes are pefectly ok and quite common. I would recommend one at each end of the cutterhead.
35-30 mm should be no problem, though you should make sure the 35 mm bore cutterheads are suitable for Manual fed machines. Its Sunday so I cant be sure but they should be ex-stock.
