tonight I was going to do some 'deeping' on the table saw. (I think thats what Scrit called it. ) The blade I have for the band saw is a bit aggressive, and I want to use the slices straight from the blade.
gonna resaw some slices out of 2 by' to make some hamster toys for my Wifes pet toy shop.....
I set the blade
I set the fence
I got my push sticks out
I switched on the table saw
I put the stock in position ready to cut.
I stood there and looked at it
I switched the machine off and came in !!!!
tomorrow I will make the safety fence that Scrit posted the other day. Gonna have to think of a better way to push it through too !

If it helps i always look at what i am about to do before i do it . Even if i have done it a hundred times . You only have one set of fingers and i want to keep mine ! Make yourself some push sticks , not just one kind but a few for every job , that way they are always to hand ..... or on the floor to be honest ;D Scrit gaurds are the future for old machines i tell ya ! I also dont machine when i'm tired . I try to keep it 9 till 5 .
