Lewis Stepp has been demonstrating the new Router Boss at the IWF Atlanta show and Popular Woodworking have made an interview video. This is the first public viewing of his new machine and I am sure there will comparisons with the WoodRat. Lewis tells me there are just a couple of very minor issues to fix and the Router Boss will be ready for sale. He is taking pre-orders now. The link to the video is here popularwoodworking.com/craftsmanAldel

Seems like another jet engine - invented here and nicked by the Yanks........
Very close copy of the Woodrat, even down to the plunge bar, with a couple of extra gizmos. I suppose that if one were being charitable one could say that plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. If one were being charitable

Typical salesman, forgets to mention that not all jigs have set spacing, obviously not heard about Leighs Would also be a bit long winded for repetitive DTs having to keep winding the handle so likely to get errors. Saw an ad for the Ultracut RS800 in F&C, probably take longer to set up than make the cut but could be useful for batch work. Jason

get the feeling that the woodrat design or patent if it had one, has run out in which case, you would hope that this one is dramatically better, but seems to me it is not. as scrit say paul
