had mine for years read the manual cover to cover flicked through several reveiws looking to find what speeds the the letters on the variable speed relates to no joy does any one have any idea !!!!!! do you know engineer ;D [picture of a hitch 12 router in engineers workshop ] nice set up by the way ;D

having trawled the various web sites, all i can find so far is that the speeds are variable between 8,000 and 20,000 revs, but no list of the actual speeds as they relate to the speed controller. of more value maybe is that max bit size is 40mm diameter. paul

thanks for looking you would have though this information would be readily avalable you can of course use larger than 40mm but not on plunge

i agree about the data, i wonder whether it might be worth ringing hitachi as for the cutter size, 40mm is actually what they say and in the faq, the give the impression that is the largest at all times. ;D paul

I've used an M12V for years. I have no idea what the intermediate speeds, are only it's 8-20000 approx. Take it from me, it'll happily run the largest bits available - ie. panel raisers at around 75-80mm.
