MR MDF is much nicer to use and get a good finish on. I'd have thought it would be ideal in a camper

much better to use mr, but also to coat the undersides before you attach them to ensure that you stop as much as possible moisture absorption. anyone notice the interesting tit bit today that a uk university has devised a way of laser marking mdf to provide various grain patterns on it paul

I spent a winter in a caravan after I left Mrs G 1st (or was it 2nd?) before mdf was quite so commonplace. In the spring I lifted the mattress and there, on the hardboard, was a mouldy damp profile not unlike the turin shroud, a funny old tramp outline, condensation, some old geezer who had been kipping there when I was out! If it had been mdf it just wouldn't have lasted so long. I would have been dumped on to the floor! MDF and caravan utterly incompatible. Cardboard similar, but cheaper.
cheers Jacob

That would have happened if you had used solid teak . You need air flow under any out door seating or bedding .

6mm will be too thin for cupboards, OK for just lining out the back. You will need at least 15mm for the carcases & doors. on any parts where no edges will show you could think of using ultralight MDF to keep the weight down but the edges are a pig to do anything with. BTW Had some pics of a nice camper sent to me today, here are a few of them. Jason
