He's talking 3 enquiries to 30 web viewers or have I misunderstood? Not just any old viewers, but viewers who are looking for the services that Stu offers. If only 10% of people who are spcifically looking for those services actually make an enquiry, there is much room for improvement. In the past I've worked on several sites with conversion rates of 25% or so, and in spcialist markets it can be even higher. I take your point, though - if the 10% generate enough work to keep the order book full then it's rather moot. Dave

thinking about what the 'public' will be searching for ...
'Joiner' is more of a trade name
'Carpenter' might be what Jo Public is searching for ?
if you see what I mean ?

thinking about what the 'public' will be searching for ... 'Joiner' is more of a trade name 'Carpenter' might be what Jo Public is searching for ? if you see what I mean ? Well this is it - it comes back to what Paul was saying about the term 'bespoke'. Whilst it may be an incorrect use of the term, it is commonly used in this context - one only has to google 'bespoke kitchen' to realise that. The customer might want a kitchen that is designed and handbuilt to his requirements, but if the customer thinks the term for that is a 'bespoke kitchen', that is what he will look for. I would tend to search for the item that I want (kitchen, window, door) rather then the name of the trade that might supply that item. Dave
