I'm after a 5mm bit for adjustable shelf pins. The problem I'm having is that i need one that i only 8/10mm long with a countersink to the end. I would also like this to be fitted into a router so i can use with the festool LR32 system
Not sure if it's only me but when i drill the holes in painted mdf/timber sides, I like to just slightly countersink the hole to give a cleaner perimeter edge.

I use a 7.5mm bit and fit the sleeves . I also use a drill bit depth stop .

but don't the sleeves have a radius edge, so needing a slight chamfer on the edge of the hole to bring them flush?

Get a TCT dowel drill and use that in the router. I don't find the need for a csk as the lip & spur tip gives a good clean cut but if you want to CSK then get a clamp on TCT one, that way you can set the height to suit.
Trend & Wealden both do a 1/4" shank 5mm bit and Wealden do a lot more multi bore dowel bits but you will need a 10mm collet as thats the standard shank for multi boring machines.

EDIT don't use the clamp CSK as the router will be too fast!!

Just checked my Trend Industrial tooling catalogue and they do a one piece CSK that can be fixed to the flute or shank of a dowel drill and will be OK at speed. Its the two part ones that fit a variety of sizes that are not suitable.

Festool do a range of drilling router bits designed for the dowel jig template on their dovetailing jig.
