You have done a nice job of it Jacob I have and still use a knife for making my dovetails but I just make where they are going and cut them by eye. If you do a few, they will start to be at close to the same angle or not by much plus I dont use the 1/8 or 1/5 rules, no point if they look right Some have seen the ones I did in the cheat that is on my avatar, which are very small ( 4mm sides ) It also brings back some memory's of some of the jobs I have worked on over the years ( if you dont know, I have been a restorer for almost 25 years ) As you have done, lots of country furniture was done so that the finish piece looked like it should. Not as bad as the Italian furniture I have worked on
