My machine has packed up. It wouldn't start. Supply is OK and I've checked everything I can. SCM charge £50 per hour, for travel time as well + mileage charge.
Need a multi meter so I can do circuit tests. Whats a good value cheap multi meter?
cheers Jacob

B&Q do a good one for around £15.00 . It's a "Rapitest MAS 830L". My "sparky mate" was so impressed he bought 3 for his workers .

Good service from SCM. Part arrived this morning. I've fitted it and machine now working. Less than 24 hours from 1st phone call. £20 for some sorta coil thingy part of the main switch gear, instead of £200 or more call-out for an engineer.

Should be OK for another 20 years then ....and you can buy Mrs Grimsdale a new Router or the like with the £180.00 you've saved....She'll understand ,it's called womens logic.

I have a really cheap Screwfix model, the nearest eqquivalent to which is now this. For less than a tenner you can't really go wrong.
