I need to get an extractor pretty quick. I've been looking at the Axminster ADE2200 Extractor but noticed it's only 1100watts, and the other option would have been the RX4000 record power bustbin thingie, which is dual 1000watt motors. Can anyone comment on either options, or offer a better option.
I had an RSDE2 ages ago but it was too much running it for long. Got too hot and far too loud.
Edit:: Should add, it's for running on a 300mm PT, Bandsaw, Table saw.

Edit:: Should add, it's for running on a 300mm PT, Bandsaw, Table saw. Mines the ADE2200. It's OK. The easy-fit strap holding the bag isn't easy to fit at all! PITA. I had to undo the selvedge and thread it through. I thought mine had a bigger motor - I'll look later. It needs a 16 amp supply, maybe they've changed the spec. Worth checking. Its only the starting surge which blows a 13 amp fuse, so you can cheat by adding 1amp fuse wire to the cartridge. (I hope Scrit isn't reading this!) Clears my 300m planer OK but very occasionally overwhelmed if you do a full width deep thicknessing cut on softwood - but could be the fault of the duct on the planer. Plenty good enough for other functions. cheers Jacob PS yes definitely check the amperage - Axminster hid the details in the small print - the dodgy b****ds PPS checked mine - it says 1.5kw and 13 amps. But it blows 13amp fuses. I guess they have changed the spec so it's now less powerful than mine but ok at 13 amps.

I have the jet DC1100ck with the fine canister filter rated at 1120w but the extraction is only 1150m3/hr against the 2200m3/hr of the Axminster ADE, it just about gets by on my cnc with fine dust. I also have the RX4000 on my panel saw a great little work horse and a reasonable amount of suck......... For a 300mm PT you will need a good rate of cfm to clear the chips.
Do you have a budget ?

Thanks guys. Budget, around £300, cheap at the moment due to alot of outlay and not enough payments until mid Novemeber. I would like to stretch to the ADE4000 or the Felder A22 but it's adding to the cost all the time.

Hi I have the felder af22 not sure how much it is now but mine was about £400 when i bought it and i saved a bit of money by going for the wall mounted option. It works well and has plenty of suck .It currently runs 12inch P/T, panelsaw, tenoner and spindle. The best thing about it is you can change the bag in a couple of seconds rather than mucking about with ring clamps etc

I use the ADE2200 connected to a saw/spindle and a 12inch P/T with 6inch duct and it sucks like Monika Lewinski. Bag change/ emptying the only negative. Runs on 13A ring with no problem (my machine only 6 months old).
