My old man unfortunately "cannot see the lines any more" so he gave me his gear yesterday. Very sad (I'll post some his stuff later). On the bright side I inherited this lovely Disston Dovetail saw. He paid 2/6 for it from a Newcastle second hand market stall in 1947. I reckon he got a bargain. It fits the hand beautifully. I reckon it deserves a professional sharpen and set before starting its next life. Brian

ain't that a bugger when it happens nice to think that he got and kept some good stuff, and you are still interested enough to want to work in wood, and now be able to use his tools paul
