My old man unfortunately "cannot see the lines any more" so he gave me his gear yesterday. Very sad (I'll post some his stuff later). On the bright side I inherited this lovely Disston Dovetail saw.



He paid 2/6 for it from a Newcastle second hand market stall in 1947. I reckon he got a bargain. It fits the hand beautifully. I reckon it deserves a professional sharpen and set before starting its next life.
