dom, surely it depends on what kind of material is backing the window reveal??
most people i know use gripfil for these technical problems, you just need to block it up whilst it dries.
mind you a lot depends on the wood you are using. mdf works great but moving real wood might cause major problems.

I've used the two part Fischer foam adhesive once, for a round window At about £10 a shot it was too expensive and they seem to have discontinued it, which is a bit of a worry Keith
