I picked this up the other day Four grits on one block in a handy holder that grips the work bench and also has a plastic moulded cover to pop over it so it doesnt get clogged up with dust . £9.99 + VAT . Might not be the best but it works

Dunno off hand but its a normal size stone , bigger than one of my oil stones .

I think I saw some of those in the garden tool section of B&Q - probably intended for sharpening your spade ;D

I bought a cheap set of diamond stones about 3 for a tenner and was actually quite impressed with them ideal for leaving in the toolbox for site work.

Maybe but it worked very well all day today for quick swipes . Time will tell but i cant see it being any worse than the stone i paid 50 odd quid for . Bought it from Hansons Riverdale in Hounslow .

New stones ey! My newest oil-stone was given to me about 30 years ago but I bought a couple of antiques on ebay and car-boot. Total expenditure so far this lifetime about £6. They will obviously outlast me, unless I drop them, but then half a stone is better than none!
