Can anyone tell me which screwdriver bits are best to use with an impact driver? I have the Makita 12V impact driver but the last bit just disintergrated! Mind you it was a cheap one. Anyone have a favourite? TIA.

Either cheapo ones and don't worry about them exploding, or stump up for the wera impact specific ones, which really do last well (so they should, though, at the price).

hi Mailee, Ive been using these for a couple of months now, They are very good, the thinner bit in the middle is apparently to absorb the shock as it impacts. A bit costly at around £3.00 each but then i was going through Dewalt bits a couple a week. Cheers, gazza.

Seems counter-productive to me to put a flexible section in the bit. Surely it will reduce the impactfullness of the action!

Dunno Nick, Cant notice any difference in the driving of screws apart from the fact that i use it every day and havnt broke one yet. So the thinner bit in the middle must be doing some good. Cheers, Gazza.

Thanks guys, gazza where are the Magna bits available from? I have just done a search on Google and come up blank? They sound like the business though.
