Hi all, Does anyone have any knowledge of, or experience using Holzmann machinery (from Austria)? I recently was recommended to look into them by a local machine shop, but there is next to nothing in terms of reviews about them on the internet. Thanks for your help, Mike

Hi Mike I don't know the company, but looking at a bandsaw on ebay it is a chinese machine. They are all probably made by the same company and sprayed different a colour for each reseller. What I mean is the machinery is all the same quality (poor), so the customer service is what counts. I have a Record bandsaw which I sent back (no problems from Record) the second needed a lot of fettling to get an accurate set up. So if you want a cheap machine buy it cheaply don't spend a penny more than you have to (got a show deal on mine ) and be prepared to tinker with it. If it's not chinese ignore the above rant ;D. Scrit is the man to ask. Good hunting

they are definately austrian, but may well be importers, although i am not sure all their machinery is imported. many may be surprised at the extent of reasonably priced engineering goods out of austria, for instance the ktm motorcycle. they have a website with some interesting stuff, and might be worth looking at. of course some of their stuff could also be rebadged italian manufacture too. paul

I think a lot of the machines that they sell are rebadged rojek machines as sold by axminster. This puts them in the serious hobbiest / professional market.
