Or are you still working trying to get something finished before Christmas?
I've been trying to finish a bookcase for my daughters present - the way things are going it looks like I'm in for an early start on the 25th to get the damn thing sanded and waxed before she wakes up.

Nope! Just got to clean up and pack it all away. On my way out now to mow the lawns, wash down all the paving, get it all spick and span for toworrow. Forecast for tomorrow is 24c, bit better than last few days of 30+c.  |

Mr dear lady wife is at work last day, I'm making the stuffing got the meat out and getting all the food ready , and i got a large malt whisky in the other hand , on the 28 th I'm off to Holland to celebrate new year with my daughter and grandson back in the new yr, maybe if I'm sober enough. lol so all you guys /girls have a happy Christmas and a happier new year. hc

Havent bought any pressies yet! (I shall probably end up going to the garage at midnight, like the people in that TV advert).
Anyway, all cleaned up, everything can be left to dry or left for another day (maybe tomorrow if Im bored).
On my way out now... hope the shops arent too busy!

Managed to finish work last night. Pressie buying has been done this morning. Just got to nip to lincoln to pick up me grandad and then its the pub. Hooray ;D

just popped in to wish everyone a happy xmas, spending today on a big tidy up in the workshop and a few last minute errands.
I got the wife `s prezzi yesterday , some woolworths vouchers and a new cutter block for her spindle moulder. ;D.

Had a productive day so far with my son (10) helping me prepare about 8 cu ft of American Black Walnut for some boxes that have to be finished by the end of next week. Jonathan has been a big help - thicknessing goes so much quicker with 2 people. Just stopped for a cuppa and will carry on for a bit more - until we are ordered in by SWMBO.

Keith - nice one. Does she buy from Wealdens? The Felder stuff I was looking at for my missus seemed half as much again for same type of block - she wants an adjustable groover.

Oh what a shame, I've run out of wax so daughter will have to DIY on the finishing front. That means I've got the rest of the day off!    American black, plus a bit of beech for the wedges etc. Happy Christmas to one and all. |
