spacers ;D seriously, you need to ensure they are both the same height, so use a piece of scrap. the suggested way is to start with the top drawer. then remove the next space by sawing and work down to the bottom. paul

If you have more than one carcase don't saw the spacer down until you have done all the top ones. I tend to cut a bit of 6 or 9mm MDF and drill 5mm holes where I need the fixing holes. Clamp this to inside of carcase with it resting on the bottom and drill away with 5mm brad point or dowel drill. This is a better way if you have lots of draws to do like this kitchen with 26draws. Fix the runners with the proper small headed draw screws if they will take them like the tandem runners, not all side mounts will take them. Jason

from a personal point mate, were i really sure that my work was always square, to save my poor old knees i would do the marking out and fitting before i assembled them ;D in addition, if you can, fit the runners whilst you have the item on a bench rather than bending down inside some carcase it does make life easier ;D good luck paul

Its got to be the best way. rgds Sainty

Paul, how can I mark out and fit the runners on the bench when I haven't made it yet ;D By the way, what does horse's member refer to? Any reference to being hung like a stallion?
