Similar to Record/Stanley. Woden were eventually bought up by Record. I have a Woden engineers vice which used to belong to my Grandfather - it's very similar to, and as good as, the equivalent Record. Cheers Paul

like paul, i have never used a woden plane, but they certainly had a decent product range, which is why record took them over a lot actually depends on the age, if you know it, because i am sure that it took a little time after the take over during which the range may well have been down graded to write it off. paul

I have a Woden sash cramp that has a sprung pin that you cant lose and is attached to the foot of the cramp, its a very good idea and a shame that Record did not keep it.

The vice on my bench is a Woden - it came with the ex-school (beech) bench I bought about 20 years ago - still going strong! Rod
