Just watched this as I recorded it earlier in the day. Well it is the first time I have seen these two and have to admit I am 'not' impressed. In a chest of drawers construction they glued in drawer runners the full length of the housings along with a breadboard edge on a pull out writing table, Making a panel glue up ended in tears as it looked like a dogs hind leg! In a dresser construction they fitted the T&G back panel tight into the rebates with no room for movement! Not to mention trimming a board down to reveal one of the biscuits that he had to repair! I have to admit that if I was Mr Smith I would throttle the Jamie Oliver clone for his incessant chatter too! Still it was nice for the Discovery channel to actually give us some woodworking programes at last even if they are of this calibre.

At least they paid some attention to safety
No dado's cut on the table saw and tenon cheeks cut on the SCMS not one of those table saw jigs
With regard to the mistakes;
The glue up of the cupped panel was unforgivable
But the exposed biscuit I think we have all done something similar good of them not to edit out unlike Norm who cuts an ill fitting mitre joint and then the next time you see it its perfect (ish)

Apart from the mistakes I think they must have shares in PVA the amount they use...

Hey, I remembered when they used over £1000 worth of Teak to make an outside table that was worth about £50.......sorry £100 I forgot about the PVA they put into it.

I remember the Cabriole legged table they did and you did not see it up close at the end, but if you look at the edge of the legs at the end of the programs when the camera is going a round it. You will how badly finished it is
