I got a bill from fedex for some bits i got from woodcraft.Ipaid $57 +$34 for p/p they want £17.56 vat +£6.80 handling fee, do you have to pay vat on p/p and is the exchange rate $1=£1 at fedex . confused frank

Hi Frank, you have to pay VAT on the full declared value + P&P + duty + fees.
The exchange rate used is the one that applied at the day they print the invoice.

thanks davy its just that they have taxed me in pounds ,when if you convert the $ into £ its about £50 i will phone them up tomorrow . iam glad i didnt get it from india would they convert 1 rupee =1£ frank
