looking for two things at a shed today. a folding over the bath shower screen. interested in a four panel one, but because of the bathroom shape and siting, it will need to be 1400 high, but the screws will only be two at the bottom and one at the top, is this enough, but more importantly, does anyone know of one which also swivels in this format. second point couple of internal doors, seesm all you can buy are either 680 wide,or 782 wide, whereas our door frames are about 760. but more importantly we want glass in them. would like a full glass panel, not in plain glass. but they seem only to make them with 3 or 4 horizontal panels, or mega panels of glass. so where else can we try to get such doors for below £150 each? and preferably pre painted or coated in white??? and no i do not want to make them myself (frankly am not good enough, and cannot afford jason or colin's rates ;D) paul paul

ta will try magnets as for the shower screen if you have a shower in the bath then obviously you can problems with the water splashing at that end. so there are available screens which fix at the shower end of the bath. however, if you have restricted space, then you have to think about a screen which takes up the least space. you can buy them with four bits of glass connected with hinge brackets, each piece is about 400 long. you need to fix it at the end of the bath where the shower is. in our case, the shower is at the window end of the bath. so we are looking at having to put the screen over the window gap, and obviously there is concern about the mounting being strong enough. what is interesting though is the one piece screens can rotate either way, whilst the folding ones seem to be fixed at the mounting end paul

In my experience, you'd be better off going to a proper bathroom supply shop rather than the sheds for shower screens. The ones the sheds sell aren't very good. Do you really need four panels I use a single panel, no frame type - very simple and easy to keep clean as there's no framing for all the gunge to get in. Cheers Paul

thanks andy that looks interesting paul, the thing is the end of the bath abuts the sink so the room is very tight, hence the need for a smaller item. mind you i agree about the gunge paul

When we re-did our bathroom, we put in a shower cabinet but I don't like them so I arranged it so I could shower in the bath. I put the taps at one end (which is the window/wash basin end) but the shower at the other end. It was very easy for us because our water pressure is sufficient to run the showers from gravity feed, so it only needs a couple of pipes to a mixer tap. Doing it that way meant that we could have the shower and shower screen at one end and the normal mixer tap and hose at the other end, which is useful if my wife or daughter just want to wash their hair (ie the screen isn't in the way). Cheers Paul

Image showers in Dublin will make anything you want. Not sure about the £150 budget though.

Try here Paul. They are close to you in Park Royal. I have used them extensively. They also have a shop, Prefit, which supplies all those fittings you see and wonder, "where did that come from". They are not cheap, but it might be worth a visit to get some ideas.
